Green Home Systems Selects SolarEdge as Leading Solar Inverter Supplier and First to Use New SolarEdge Energy Hub Inverter

Green Home Systems has officially announced that SolarEdge will be its main supplier of solar inverters. The announcement comes after the recent decision to make LG their primary supplier of solar panels.

Green Home Systems has officially announced that SolarEdge will be its main supplier of solar inverters. The announcement comes after the recent decision to make LG their primary supplier of solar panels.

What is a solar inverter?

Solar inverters (or photovoltaic inverters) are responsible for taking the variable direct current (DC) output of the solar panels and converting them to alternating current (AC) at utility frequency. Simply put, it is the part of the solar energy system that takes energy from the sun and converts it into usable electricity for a home or business.

The quality of an inverter directly affects the quality of the solar panel system as a whole. The better the inverter, the more efficient the system and the more bang for your buck.

Since solar inverters play such a vital role in a solar power system, choosing the right supplier was essential for GHS.

Who is SolarEdge?

SolarEdge is an industry leader in energy optimization including, but not limited to solar inverters and monitoring systems for photovoltaic (PV) panels.

Green Home Systems Managing Partner Robbie Hebert said, “Choosing SolarEdge as an inverter was not a decision taken lightly with many inverters. One of the most important things was to prepare the customer’s home to be future-ready for battery backup. “

In addition to announcing that GHS is partnering with SolarEdge, they are also the first to announce that they will be using the new EnergyHub inverter and battery system.

What is a SolarEdge Energy Hub inverter?

A SolarEdge Energy Hub inverter is a battery-ready inverter that will allow homeowners to upgrade when they are ready without having to change the inverter. It uses Prism (PDF) technology to streamline the energy conversion process. Instead of the traditional method of transforming direct current to alternating current and again to direct current, this new technology plans to integrate energy storage upstream.

This is a huge advancement in the solar inverter game as it saves customers money by upgrading to get more efficient output without purchasing a brand new inverter.

GHS is proud to work with SolarEdge as they remain at the forefront of solar technology and are able to provide the highest quality inverters to the GHS family.
