Home design, location and building service are best for this buyer
PALM DESERT, CA, Sept. 09, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ — Rahsaan Tilford had a long wish list when he started his new home search last summer, and Palm Desert was an ideal choice. “I was renting an apartment about two blocks from here and had already owned twice outside of the desert area,” said Rahsaan, an attorney with offices nearby.
“I wanted to own a new home, and I wanted to have a place that I could really love, instead of just being OK with it,” he added. “I had to compromise with my first two houses, but not with this house.”
The house – Nova Plan One was Rahsaan’s choice, a two-story house of approximately 1,880 square feet, 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. A two bay garage at the rear includes direct interior access for the owner. An optional ADU above the garage can provide an additional 463 square feet of space.
At the entrance to the porch, Plan One’s den and powder are well secluded from the hospitality areas. The spacious great room features an expansive seating/media area, views and direct access to covered outdoor living. The dining room and the spacious kitchen with island with double sink, preparation area and pantry are also open to the outside.
The second level of Plan One offers two bedrooms with a shared full bathroom; a loft can be chosen instead of a bedroom. Situated for optimal isolation from these retreats and laundry room is the owner’s suite, which has a walk-in closet and luxurious bath, and overlooks the rear courtyard.
“I liked this layout and my yard size is just right – big enough to enjoy but not too big to manage,” Rahsaan said. “I finally found a place that I really love.”
Location, location – Rahsaan’s work hub suits him, as does the University Park area. “You’re close to lots of amenities, lots of shopping, restaurants, hiking trails and Joshua Tree – it’s all easy from here,” he says.
“The immediate neighborhood is also very beautiful, and most of my close neighbors have moved in,” Rahsaan added. “We’re a mix of locals and people from LA, and far and wide, like Chicago. We got to know each other and exchanged phone numbers. It’s nice to walk around and say hello to your neighbours!
The builder – Woodbridge Pacific Group was new to Rahsaan, although he had looked at WPG’s La Quinta neighborhoods. “The list of interests was huge and the location wasn’t as convenient for me as University Park, so I looked into more detail here,” he said.
“Chad always went the extra mile and he contributed to the best shopping experience I’ve ever had,” Rahsaan added. “Customer service was spectacular with moving in and making a few minor fixes I needed. They said they would take care of everything within 30 days of closing – and they did!”
US Bank, WPG’s preferred lender, also received praise. “Jeff Wiersma and his team have been amazing, every step of the way,” Rahsaan said. “Everything about choosing my home, buying it and moving in was seamless from start to finish.
“I literally pinch myself every day!”
