Luxury vacation home company merges York heritage with French elegance
Chateau Anna, specialists in period holiday homes, have created three immaculately presented and recently refurbished properties with new fittings and fittings with a touch of French flair.
The interior design was led by Lucy Seddon of Helston Street, known locally for her rustic charm and intricate detailing.
Lucy reimagined vacation rentals with the concept of bringing together French elegance with York heritage.
Each property features striking lighting from Heals, handmade beds from Redbrick Mill, vibrant kitchen and bathroom tiles from Bert & May, and furnishings and fittings from Olivia’s.
The Bishy is an immaculately presented two bedroom townhouse sleeping up to six people.
Situated in a quiet street close to Bishopthorpe Road – voted Britain’s Best Street in 2016 – it has an open plan kitchen, dining and living area with fireplace and double sofa bed, two double bedrooms, a bathroom bathrooms and a private courtyard.
The Courtyard is a perfectly appointed one bedroom apartment in the heart of the city and within walking distance of the train station and racecourse. It benefits from a fully fitted kitchen/diner with a private outdoor area for al fresco dining, a double bedroom and a separate shower room.
The Victoria Bar is a gem of a one bed apartment within the city walls, providing the perfect setting for a comfortable city break within walking distance of the city centre, train station and local parks. It is located just 500 meters from York Minster.
Retaining many of the original period features including pillars and panelling, it has been tastefully renovated and comprises a living room, kitchen and dining area; double
bedroom and separate shower room.
Upon arrival, guests are greeted by the owner, Neil Cook, who lives close to all properties and is therefore on hand to ensure a seamless stay.
In addition, they can enjoy a welcome basket including fresh flowers, a bottle of sparkling wine and a basket of delicious local products.
Free parking is available and there is a minimum stay of two nights.
