Sioux Empire Home Show showcases the latest trends in interior design

SIOUX FALLS, SD (Dakota News Now) – The Sioux Empire Home Show is in action this weekend, filling both the Convention Center and the Sioux Falls Arena.

“We have a lot of sellers with over 235 here this weekend,” said Home Show co-chairman Tom Jarding.

With so many vendors at the show, organizers hope to provide plenty of options for people looking to remodel their homes as well as those looking to build a brand new home.

“A lot of these vendors are working together and collaborating on projects so that being here we can brainstorm ideas and send customers to each other to help these customers,” said Will DeWitt, co-president of The Home Show.

The show always takes place in Sioux Falls just before spring begins so people can implement new designs as the state warms up.

“I think it gets everyone’s juices flowing, both on our side on the seller side and on the customer side, which is itching for them for good weather and with the market we have had the last few years the as soon as possible. people plan, the more likely it is to happen this year,” Jarding said.

As Sioux Falls continues to grow in population, home renovators are seeing an increase in new projects, making events like the home show even more important for sellers and customers.

“We’ve seen a lot of people who have moved to Sioux Falls but maybe haven’t found their perfect home, so they’re renovating to meet their personal needs with things on the outside. We see a lot of entertainment things like swimming pools, outdoor kitchens, televisions, anywhere they can just invite family and friends over and just have a place to hang out,” DeWitt said.

The Sioux Empire Home Show is Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
