Taylor Morrison Home Company (NYSE: TMHC), Christopher Todd Communities Close on 20 acres in Melissa

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Taylor Morrison Home Company (NYSE: TMHC), in partnership with Christopher Todd Communities, has closed on a +/- 20-acre lot in the town of Melissa.

Ryan Turner, Collins Meier, David Davidson, Jr. and Edward Bogel of Davidson Bogel Real Estate, LLC brokered the transaction. Representing one of Melissa’s main intersections, the site is planned for a mixed-use residential and commercial development. Melissa Road is currently being extended and expanded, providing residents of the 2,000-acre planned community, Trinity Falls, with direct access to the N. Central Freeway.

The vendor partnership worked consistently with Sunny Patel, Land Acquisition Manager of Taylor Morrison, Build-to-Rent, to get the project approved. The parties have worked with the Town of Melissa to design a plan that will provide high quality housing for residents, including a private amenity center and event space, but will also ensure there will be a commercial component to the project. . The project, which was unanimously approved by Melissa, included the vendor retaining +/- 3 acres on the hard corner of the intersection for other commercial and retail options that will serve as amenities for nearby residents and are marketed by Davidson Bogel Real Estate.
